Pamela "Pam" Lucile Linton's Obituary
Pamela “Pam” Lucile Linton, age 74, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Grand Rapids, MI. She was born on August 27, 1949, to Joseph and Lucile (Linton) Davidson, in Brown City, MI. She graduated from Jackson Memorial High School, then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and Master of Business Administration from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Pam was a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Human Resources for multiple global organizations, until her retirement in 2014.
Pam was a truly gifted leader and a mentor to many; both in her professional life and personal life.
Pam had a wonderful eclectic style of her own. She believed in education and investing into what one cares about. Most of all, she was adventurous and loved to travel the world with family and friends. She loved to dive into local cultures, collect and share art that represented her travels.
Her positive energy, and genuine caring is how people who were close to Pam will remember her. She listened to people and helped them find solutions to whatever issue they may be facing. Pam invested time and energy into people, to help and encourage them in their success. She was a gracious and giving person that supported numerous charities throughout her lifetime.
Upon retirement, she spent half of her time on the island of Ambergris Caye, Belize. The environment and her friends in Belize became a very important part of her life. She invested greatly into the community, cared deeply about her friends, their families and loved to spend time in and on the water.
She was a voracious reader and enjoyed any type of game; cribbage, backgammon, word games (Wordle, Sudoku), you name it … She was good at it and competed fiercely. Those that played with her will have fantastic memories.
Pam is survived by her sons, Major (Anna) Miller and Noah (Jessica) Webster; grandchildren, Maxwell and Wrenley Miller and Jonah, Maya, and Ella Webster; and sister, Debby (Bill) Hicks. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Hooker, and her sister, Lucinda Davidson.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Pam was a gracious and giving person, any Memorial Contributions will be sent in honor of her to a charity that she supported.
