My sympathies to Cynthia and family. John was a good man. I served on various boards with John and soon found that when John spoke, people listened. John was a true professional who respected everyone with dignity. In addition to his family, the community will also miss him. Thoughts and prayers to Cynthia and family.
Cynthia and family I am praying for you. I have fond memories of attending GGF conferences with you both. I always enjoyed John's genuine warmth and love. He was a man who modeled God's grace and I whom I treasure as a true friend. Praying God's grace, peace and strength to you.

Pastor John was a man of God whose life gave credibility to the message of God’s Grace which he so faithfully proclaimed. We look forward to seeing him again one day before the throne of the Lord and worshiping Him together.
My heart and prayers go out to the Shyne family. May the wonderful memories keep you strong. I worked with John and his wife Cynitha while employed with the Michigan dept. of Correction. John and I played a lot of golf together. Please know that I share in your sorrow and pray for your strength during this difficult time.

Pastor Shyne will always hold a special place in my heart. His teaching of the word, pre-marriage counseling, my marriage ceremony, and countless others. I will miss him very much, but know I will see him in heaven again. Praying comfort for his family and friends. Wish I could be there with you all.
We were so sorry to hear of Pastor John's passing. He was a great pastor, a great husband and father, and loved by so many. Our sincerest sympathies. ~ The Bruce & Sheila Hoeker Family
