Pastor John A Shyne Jr.'s Obituary
Pastor John Albert Shyne Jr., age 64, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was born in Muskegon on December 5, 1955 to John Albert and Mattie Pearl (Clark) Shyne Sr. and was a life-long resident of the area. John graduated from Grace Christian University with his bachelor’s in theology. While in college, he met Cynthia McLain, and they were later married in Muskegon on July 9, 1977. John was a man of integrity and loved the Gospel. He spent 32 years pastoring at Berean Grace Church and Beacon Light Community Church. John had a great sense of humor, loved his family, golfing, camping, motorcycles, and enjoyed trying new foods. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cynthia; five children, Adanya (Shocka) Williams, Garrick Shyne, Rebekah Shyne, Gabriel (Tracie) Shyne, and Michael George Shyne; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Cheryl) Shyne and Peter (Julie) Shyne; two sisters, Eshter (Ronald) Ashley and Laura (Dwaine) Guyton. He was preceded in death by his parents. SERVICES will be 12:30 PM Saturday, November 21, 2020 at West Michigan Worship Center (1430 Hendrick Road, Norton Shores, MI 49441) with Rev.
