Patricia Ann Harris' Obituary
Patricia Ann Harris, age 82, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, September 25, 2020. She was born on June 3, 1938 in Muskegon to William and Phyllis (DeVries) Medema. Pat was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School in 1956 and worked 29 years for Mercy Hospital as a staffing coordinator. On September 19, 1957, she married the love of her life, Michael Henry Harris in Muskegon, Michigan. Pat was a long time member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church. She was an avid reader, loved spending her winters in sunny Palmetto, Florida, swimming in her pool and attending almost every home Michigan football game for many years (Go Blue!). Most importantly, she loved spending time with her beloved family. To know Pat was to love her. She was the ultimate wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend and endlessly supported and deeply cared for her tribe. Her strength was a force to be reckoned with until our Lord and Savior called her home. SURVIVORS include her husband of 63 years, Michael of Norton Shores; 2 daughters Sherry (Nick) Apostle and Julie (Michael) Cribbs both of Norton Shores; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Nancy) Medema of Norton Shores; and her very special niece Wendy (Jim) McCall and nephew Scott Medema. A CELEBRATION OF PAT’S LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Calvin Christian Reformed Church (937 W. Norton Ave., Muskegon, MI 49441) with Pastor Mark Milkamp officiating. VISITATION with the family will take place one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to Mercy Hospital’s McAuley Fund or Calvin Christian Reformed Church will be appreciated.
