Mrs. Patricia Viola Hibbs' Obituary
Mrs. Patricia Viola Hibbs, age 85, passed away Sunday morning, July 28, 2013, at a local nursing facility. She was born August 23, 1927 in Muskegon to Ralph and Viola (Bradley) Close. On July 22, 1950 she married Kenneth Hibbs in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 27, 2004. Patricia was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling in her earlier years, and more recently bingo and occasional gambling. She was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother, and will be missed by her children, Douglas D. (Karen) Hibbs of Grant, Dennis R. Hibbs of Muskegon, Darryl L. (Sally) Hibbs of Fruitport, Dean P. (Pamela) Hibbs of Muskegon, Diane M. Hibbs of Grand Rapids, and Darlene G. (Donald) West of Grand Haven; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Havenga of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Ken, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter; two brothers, Irwin “Red” Close and Richard Close; and 3 sisters, Aileen VanBergen, Maxine VanBergen and Audrey Close. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held Wednesday afternoon, July 31, 2013 from 4-6 PM at
