Marie and girls: Thoughts and prayers are with you all! All the kids send their love and thoughts too. Paul was always so easy to talk with. I'd see him shopping in previous years and altho he only knew me thru' you, he'd go out of his way to exchange little chit-chats!
My best to you, and hope to see you in "the park".

As friends of Paul and Marie, we alsways enjoyed Paul's interesting stories, starting with his college years and his relationship with his father. We will miss his laugh and the interesting conversations we had with him.
The family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Marie, We were so sorry to hear about Paul. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. The obit was typical Paul. I can picture him sitting down to write in a no nonsense way. Our days on Crystal Lake will always be with us.

I will miss seeing the twinkle in Mr. Herbert's eyes and hearing the playful teasing and bickering with Mrs. Herbert. He was a wonderful man.##imported-begin##Tricia Anderson and Jim Dusenberry##imported-end##
Will always remember the good and fun times I had with Paul. He was one great editor that I was lucky to have worked with. He was a great friend.##imported-begin##Ron Norton##imported-end##
I was saddened to read of Paul's death. He was a great guy, full of life and ready to laugh. He always enjoyed my corny jokes and laughed easily. I loved visiting with him and Marie at their cottage near Fremont. He will be missed.##imported-begin##Ed Kesteloot, Jr.##imported-end##
