Paul A. Herbert, Jr.'s Obituary
Paul A. Herbert, Jr., age 83 of Spring Lake and Roosevelt Park died September 24, 2009. He was born October 10, 1925 in Lansing, MI. He was a Michigan State University graduate. Paul retired from The Muskegon Chronicle in 1987 after 33 years on the News Desk. He was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge, the Grand Haven and Muskegon American Legion posts, and was a lifetime Old Newsie. He was a World War II veteran. Paul leaves his wife of 55 years, Marie; as well as two daughters, Kathleen (Eric) Boeschenstein of Muskegon, Michigan, Frances E. Herbert-Poma (Takako Ueda) of Dummerston, Vermont; and a grandson, Taylor J. Boeschenstein. Those of you who knew Paul will appreciate that he wrote this succinct obituary years ago.
