I have many found memories working with her, at the Nature Center, teaching the Wings classes, at Michigan State going to extension classes and all the trips we went on thru Orchard View . She taught me a lot about nature.
Thinking of you, Laurie and Joe. So surprised and sad for you with this news, after just seeing you a few days ago in Meijer and asking about your mom. She has taught us that we must value each day. Her life was full of good things and loving family. I didn't know her, except through you, but it sounds like she was a tremendous lady in all ways, who meant a lot to many people. Sending sympathy in your loss.

Please accept my understanding sympathy. Laurie and I spoke so often about "Jane" that I feel I knew her. Then Laurie would talk about me and Jane would suggest a book for me to read or something else she "just knew" I would like. We were friends without ever having met. Enjoy all your great memories....

You chose a lovely picture of your mother. One thing I learned from Aunt Jane was to always finish the milk in the cereal bowl but when we doused our cereal with sugar and I disliked the sugar milk. We had to drink it anyway!
I have fond memories of spending the 4th of July with your family and Grandma Wade most every year growing up. Having our O'Grady cousins visit from California, the Elks park explorations finding both of my grandfathers tree stars, motorcycle hill climb, the woods and lake. Your mom and dad always allowing us to pop in and out of your house. I still have and use several of your mother's recipes especially the Texas Sheet cake which has always gotten grate reviews.
Your mother took a bus trip years ago That stopped in Mansfield and I so regret we were not able to connect, I was still working and she was on a strict bus schedule.
May God guide you through your grief and enable you to dwell on fond memories of a lifetime well spent. Prayers to all of my cousins and families for comfort at this time.

Since I grew up in the Southwest I don’t have a lot of memories of Aunt Jane, but when Mom, Alanna and I were in Michigan several years ago she spent a day showing us around the area and sharing family history. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and appreciated her taking the time to make sure we knew where our roots lie. She was a gracious lady and we will miss her.
