Mr. Paul R. Schmitt, Sr. age 62, of Spring Lake, passed away Wednesday morning at home. He was born December 9, 1947 in Ecorse, MI to Eugene and Winifred (Duguay) Schmitt. Paul worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Read Obituary

Trying to find words that make the pain subside but there are no words. We were classmates and members of the MCC graduating class of 66'. I knew Paul as a fellow classmate, and thru his sister Carol. May the peace of the Lord be with all of you in your time of sorrow but remember that we will all meet again. With deepest sympathy.

Paul made our "Hotel California" a true bed and bar-b-que!!! Catfish was a 5 star dining experience even though we had a tough time trying to find catfish to purchase[must be a Southern California thing].Our neighbors were used to the dinner hour being at 11 pm.
His hearty laugh, generous smile and easy going nature made us always feel happy and lucky to be his friend.
