I met Peggy 24 years ago in 1986 when I went to work for the City of Muskegon Heights. Peggy was a champion of Muskegon Heights and served as the chair of the Downtown Development Association, for which I was also the director. She ran the hair college and cut my hair on a regular basis when it was long and dark. It was a little unnerving with a half a dozen of her students standing around her. She continued to do so up until a couple of years ago, whereupon, Alexis commented that I was a very brave man! Peggy conscripted me for a couple of her pet projects, including the Milwaukee Clipper and the Muskegon Sports Council. Peggy had the grace of a queen, the charm of a princess, the heart of a lioness, and the vision of a prophet. Her elegance, her intellect, and her beauty were a beacon whose light shown through to all who knew her. I can testify that Peggy was a person to whom nobody could say "no." Rochelle and I will miss her for a long time to come and we will drink a glass of champagne in a toast to her. We're so sad we were out of town for the memorial service and oould not extend our condolences to Alexis, Zach, Ashlee, and the rest of the family in person. Peace and love be with you all.##imported-begin##Peter Sartorius & Rochelle##imported-end##
