I have fond memories of seeing Penny at Grandpa and Grandma Smidt's farm in our younger years. She had a favorite Appaloosa horse on the farm that she bonded with. Maybe it was our age at the time, but she sure didn't like to share this particular horse with anyone, Penny catered to the dogs and animals that were on the farm. Holidays were fun. We would normally get the same gift wrapped up with different colored wrapping paper. I am grateful for the many visits Penny, Breck, Joshua and Jeremy made to Iowa to see grandma Helen Smidt in her later years. Bless you, Breck, for helping make all this possible for Penny. I know she was so happy to visit grandma and also visit the rest of the family that live in the area. I remember Penny being devoted in pretty much everything she put her mind to. She had so many incredible talents(: Penny told me one time that she worked hard during her college years, because she didn't want to have a big debt to pay back. She was one of those people that looked hard work or challenging times straight in the face, and with God's help, followed through with her goals. I also was lucky enough to hear Penny say how much she enjoyed working with her students. Penny, I will miss you. I love you. Breck and family, please know I am sending you my love and support. Mrs.Penny was a very dedicated teacher. She was always helpful not just to me but to all her students. Breck, my prayers go out to you and your family, so sorry for your loss of a wonderful woman who made a difference in my life.Mrs. Penny you will be missed dearly.
My condolences to Penny's family. I worked with her in adult education. She was very dedicated to her students and always had their best interest at heart. She was a real advocate for them. Penny and her lovely smile will be very missed at school, as well as by her friends and family, which were dear to her.

My condolences to Penny's family and many friends. Penny and I had many chats when she and I worked in the same building. She was one of the sweetest people I know. She was dedicated to whatever she did. She will be so missed. So heartbreaking
