To the entire Southland family we say thanks for all of the tremendous memories that go along with Mr. Southland being the "Neighborhood Dad." Mr. Southland always had a big smile on his face and a kind word in his heart. All of us knucklehead boys that grew up in Roosevelt Park always knew the Southland home as the neighborhood meeting spot and Mr. Southland was always there with that big grin and a lot of patience! It was great to see him this summer and introduce him to my family. Mr. Southland will always be remembered because who could ever forget such a wonderful person who shared so much with three generations of Roosevelt Park boys coming to his house every day!
We look forward to meeting up with the family this summer and will be there with smiles and hilarious stories that will make his passing bit easier to deal with.
