To Mitch, Al, Greg and Lisa, so sorry for your loss.
Bear was a good man and one of my favorite people ever. Having known him for 40 years, it is with a heavy heart I share a couple of memories. Bear would drive from Hesperia over to my place on an area lake to visit with me during the Summer, the same lake where he grew up as a boy. He was a walking historian of our area having grown up there, knew everybody, and I thoroughly enjoyed the stories of his youth, often replete with rare old photos of our area.
I recall telling him that I was thinking of putting up a gate in my driveway.. the next day there was a 12' galvanized gate in my yard.. I told him I was looking for some cable for another project.. the next day there was a 100' coil of cable in my yard.. I mentioned running power out to my shed.. the next day there's a heavy breaker and a secondary service box on my deck.. that’s Bear..
I always knew he had been over if there was business card stuck in my door, it simply says "Bear" with his phone number... perfect.
I also recall cutting on that monster maple tree in his back yard, bringing him boulders for his river, and scouring the internet for the most elusive Cadillac motor in the history of mankind.. lol..
A good man and a true friend whom loved his family dearly will be missed by all whom knew him..
Our Thoughts and Prayers go out to the entire Laskowski Family...
