Randy, I know you are with our Lord and that helps to confort me. I want you to know that I always cherished our friendship. I hope, I told you that you were the by far the best person I have ever known. You always displayed a class and dignity that few can. Opening day of Walleye season will never be the same. I hope you know how much I looked forward to our time on the water. Your excitement with each fish you caught was something I looked forward to. Over the years you caught thousands of fish, but you were always so grateful and excited. A stranger would think it was your first fish. Thank you for teaching me how to steelhead fish. Thank you for showing me how to be the man I am. Thank you for being my friend for the last 20 years, I will miss you. I hope Heaven has a beautiful stretch of river where you can wet a line. I hope you know how much I loved you and the positive effect you had on me and my family. Save a spot on the riverbank for me.
