Randall L. Kramer's Obituary
Mr. Randall Louis Kramer, age 77, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, January 8, 2012, at Hackley Hospital. He was born July 1, 1934 in Muskegon to Louis and Lois M. (Bowen) Kramer. Randy was an active member of Calvary Church, having previously served as Deacon, Assistant Sunday School Director and Christian Education Board member; and as a past Commander of the AWANA program for 35 years. Randy loved to fish; and was an avid softball player and coach. Prior to his retirement in 2001, Randy was a design draftsman for Bennett Pump for 29 years and then at Structural Concepts for 10 years. On February 2, 1957 he married the former Dolores J. “Dee” Pixley and she survives him along with four children, Deborah (Michael) Stenberg, Lyn (Darryl) Sample, James (Paula) Kramer and Paul (Kelly) Kramer; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Marianne (“Gene”) Hathaway, Candy (Tony) Nastase and Kris Wiethoff; and by one brother, Bob (Mary) Kramer. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2PM Friday, January 13, 2012, at Calvary Church (5873 Kendra Rd., Fruitport) with Pastor Bill Rudd officiating. VISITATION with Randy’s family will be 5-8PM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210; and from 1-2PM Friday, prior to the service at church. For a more lasting memorial you are asked to consider the National Parkinson Foundation or the Lake Ann Scholarship Fund of Calvary Church.
