Hi Kala we are Holly &Jim From Canada and our friend Peter Klungel and we wanted to let you know we were thinking of you today, our hearts feel your pain, but we all know they were wonderful parents and had many friends..We've known your Dad a long time through the Volleyball World and loved his kindness and smile and we will never forget him.
Randy was an amazing friend in volunteer to myself and husband Jim at many Volleyball Tournaments here in Canada, we enjoyed much of our time with him and Stan and we will never forget him. We will smile a lot for him as his smile was infectious,
Kala... my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief. Take comfort in knowing they are walking with Jesus. Time, will heal wounds. You are loved.
We were heartbroken to hear the terrible news about this lovely couple. We saw Randy once a year during our camping trips, we had lots of laughs, he was such a gentle giant. He will be truly missed but we will meet again. Love ya, Larain & Bill
Kala, Your Mom and Dad always loved you both. I felt bad about your brother, Greg. I remember the day they were blessed with you and then Greg. You were so young and so loved. Mom always had pictures of you both as you grew up. Your father, Randy grew up most of his life living beside my sisters and I. He loved doing things with us all. When I was a Girl Scout Leader, he was always ready to help me out with what project we were working on. My sister Pat and your father went to school together and did many fun activities together. Your Grandma, Lois, was very close to my mother, Betty.
Your mother, Maureen, taught with me at Oakridge Middle School. We had so many great times. Then your mother went up to the High School, but we still were great friends. I shared about Crestwood Methodist church when your Mother asked. Crestwood was the church us girls were raised in, and I also introduced your mom to my parents, and later to your father, Randy. You were so loved by your Grandmother, Lois,as well. When Randy and Maureen, your parents, were married I did their flowers for them, as I also worked in a florist during High School, and College. Our whole family were there and shared their happy day, and many other fun and loving times as well
My Family, was very shocked when we heard about your mom and dad. I could not believe it at first. My heart was so broken, and my first thoughts were: where is or was Kala. You have been in all my prayers from that time, and will continue. Remember, that God will always be near you, and he loves you very much. Your Parents were very loving and giving to all they met. It is God's love that they knew and shared with you. All my blessings I share with you.
Sincerely, Barbara Rosema (Hodge) and all my family.
Randy and Maureen were the kindest people anyone could have the pleasure of knowing. Kala was part of my family, dating my son a little over 10 years. During those years Maureen and I developed a friendship which I will forever cherish. She always had a bubbly personality and a smile on her face. We had many great conversations either in person or on the phone. Last summer when she started fostering her dog Munchkin, she was asking my advice about getting him healthy again. We had a side bet about Kala painting oak trim and walls which really surprised us. Maureen and Randy told me a million times how great my son is and they treated him very well. Randy was a gentle giant, you’d never guess he loved to cross stitch so when Kala graduated nursing school her favorite gift was a cross stitched poem about being a nurse to hang on her wall. The list of how wonderful these two people were could go on and on. My prayers and hugs are with you at your difficult time Kala! Keep doing the things you’re doing because they are looking down at you smiling and couldn’t be more proud of what you’ve become.
