Randy Evans' Obituary
Randall (Randy) Earl Evans, age 35, of Salt Lake City, Utah (formerly Grand Haven) died unexpectedly on Friday, December 2, 2005 in Grand Haven. He was born November 6, 1970 to David and Diane (Sanders) Evans in Grand haven, Michigan. Randy graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1988. He had been living in Utah and was employed by Snowbird Resorts. Randy was an accomplished snowboarder and competed in many competitions including in Argentina, Japan and Alaska. He was a snowboard instructor and a member of the search and rescue team at Snowbird Ski Resort. Randy’s picture appeared in several articles of the Snowboarder magazine. He also enjoyed photography. Survivors include his daughter Janice Evans of Salt Lake City, Utah; his parents David and Diane Evans of Grand Haven; a sister Becky (Mark) Sanchez of Grand Haven and his brother David Evans Jr. of Grand Haven. A funeral service for Randy E. Evans will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Church of the Nazarene in Grand Haven with Rev. Gary Reiss officiating. Friends may meet the family 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Memorials to the Evans Family Memorial Fund at Grand Haven Bank are appreciated.
