Richard "Dick" L. Boes' Obituary
Mr. Richard L. Boes, age 83, passed away peacefully into his eternal home on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. He was born on December 7, 1936 to Carl and Wilma (Schafer) Boes in Coldwater, MI. Dick attended Muskegon High School and married the former Laura Hill on June 15, 1956 in Muskegon and she preceded him in death in 2016. He became a manager at West Michigan Steel and retired in 1995. Dick kept busy during his retirement by working at Shape Corp. until 2008 and at Sam’s Club for the past five years. Dick will be missed by his children, Richard (Usha) Boes, Lesa (Todd) Husmann, Stacey (Michael) Bernethy and Brad Boes; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Dave (Betty) Boes; sister, Karen (Jim) Smith; and close friend, Jean Warren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura, and parents. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 21 at 11AM at Sheridan Drive Baptist Church. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM. Memorial contributions in Dick’s memory may be directed to Muskegon Pregnancy Services.
