Karin (Kari) Peterson
I called him Dick, when he and I worked together, at Duck Lake State Park as Rangers. We didn't really see each other alot, because he worked weekdays and I worked weekends at that park, but we would leave each other notes on projects to do, or a simple "Hello", or we even left snacks or homemade food for each other. He was my partner and I really cared for him then and the years I didn't work there no more. I still included him in my Christmas card list, he was always a friend and family to me. I know he enjoyed hearing my letters updating my going ons each year and the photos of our changing family and my pets. He always returned me a note and card aswell, I still have them all tucked away in a box somewhere. I'm saddened by his passing and will miss him dearly. He was a pleasure to work with, he was funny, interesting, a hard worker, efficient, and the Parks and friends like me will miss his kindness, laughter, smile and generousity. When I visit Duck Lake S.P. I always remember my Ranger days there and share my memories with family and friends, but I include Dick and share his stories, so they can know of him and that he was the best co-worker I ever had at the Parks Division. If you're listening Dick.."I have a piece of blueberry pie for yah, it's in the refridge." Love your friend, Karin (Kari)Peterson (Served 1992-1998)
