I was blessed as a young child to live with my Uncle Rich and Aunt Lucy, so naturally, the entire family is very near and dear to my heart. I have so many happy childhood memories of that time: going to North Shore in the summer with the whole Nienhouse clan, breakfast and lunch cooked on the grill, Kurt getting caught in the waves, very scary, Uncle Rich saved the day! Playing outdoor games: Red Rover, Kick the Can, Softball, Hide & Seek. When the weather was bad we played Hearts, our favorite card game. Road trips to the Graham family farm. My favorite time was just hanging out in the driveway laughing and carrying on waiting for the fresh caught frog legs Uncle Rich had thrown on the grill - DELISH!

A life well lived, full of love and laughter, always surrounded by family and friends.

Living next door for many years, I have a lot of memories. The first one to come to my mind is the time I drove my Dad’s pickup into a ditch at midnight one summer night. My Dad was away somewhere so I had no one else to call but Uncle Rich (good thing because I wasn’t supposed to be driving the truck). He came a mumbling and grumbling but he got me out of the ditch. Good guy that he was, he never told my Dad.

Love you Uncle Rich, Rest In Peace and prayers for strength and comfort for Aunt Lucy.
