Mr. T was definitely a presence at NBHS and a close family friend. I remember him driving his red jeep head cocked to the side, ponytail flying, speeding to get to school on time! He was always one of the kids with his enthusiasm for life and sports. He always encouraged us and had the most infectious laugh. I remember helping with Senior floats in his barn. Prayers for the whole Turner family.

Mr. Turner was among the most memorable of my high school educators. I can see him clear as if it were yesterday standing in front of the classroom with his Visual Aides (cardboard to represent a plane and pencil to represent a line intersecting it) and willing us to understand and love geometry. I’m confident he touched many lives in addition to mine. My heart goes out to his family.

Rick truly was a great friend. We had so many good times together- playing fast pitch softball, teaching math alongside each other, playing racquetball for years, and coaching softball. He always had a competitive spirit and lively sense of humor. He will surely be missed.
