Rick was such a special man and I count my self blessed to have been able to call him Dad for almost 17 years. He was always doing little things to make me happy and to feel special. He had a knack for spoiling us and we all loved it!
I smile when I think of the mornings he got up at the crack of dawn while we were back in the States so he could get my favorite Goober's donuts before they sold out, or of finding the Hobby Lobby ad always waiting for me when we were home for a visit, since he knew that was my favorite place to shop when we were in Muskegon. Each day in my home, even here in China, I am reminded of his love for me and my family in so many ways. When I put away my knives in the knife block he knew I could use but hadn't asked for. When we enjoy the delicious sausage that I can make now since he convinced the butcher to sell him the seasoning he was determined to get for me. When we use the medicines and lotions that he so carefully wrapped in bubble wrap so they would make it to us here unbroken. When I drink my afternoon coffee, like I am today, out of my favorite cup that he picked out for me one Christmas.
He has touched our lives with his sweet kindness in so many ways and will continue to do so in our fond memories in the years to come.
Thank you Dad, I love you.##imported-begin##Becky German##imported-end##
