Richard "Dick" Porter's Obituary
Mr. Richard Allen “Dick” Porter, age 66, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at his home. He was born in Shelby, MI on November 13, 1939 to Maurice and LyVerl (Wade) Porter, and was a resident of Muskegon for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Dick retired from the City of Muskegon in 1998 after 33 years of service as a firefighter. On January 28, 1961, he married the former Sally Moore and she survives him along with 2 daughters, Darcy (Don) Dewey of Grand Haven and Dawn (Mark) Nicholas of Waterford, MI; 2 grandchildren, Tim and Kelli Dewey; his mother, LyVerl Porter; 2 brothers, Phillip (Pat) Porter and Bradley (Marilyn) Porter; and 2 sisters, Connie Ross and Mary Porter. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Porter. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be 10:30AM Saturday at
