I Can't even begin to tell you how saddened I am to read of your Mothers Passing today. She was a wonderful and amazing woman whom did so many special times for both her family and friends. I will always have fond memories of her from the country Club and the Yatch Club growing up and as an adult too. Each and every one of you are in my thoughts and prayers right now, and know that the memories will indeed carry you into a new day. Upon arriving home yesterday from Minneapolis we read of Rita's passing. We send to you all our deepest condolences. She was a fine "lady"! Back in 1973 when I became organist/choir director at St. Mary's, Rita joined the fledgling choir of about 12 souls who loved to sing and wanted a real choir. She was a "charter" member of what has grown to be a choir of 60+ voices. She was always faithful at rehearsals and masses and gave me great support and encouragement. Forever a lover and supporter of the arts, she will indeed be remembered fondly!

To Dan, Jim, Nancy, David, Michael, Philip, Carrie and Katie, sincerest condolences from Pepsi and I. We're so glad to still have a toe-hold in the olde neighborhood where we all grew up and were able to keep in touch w/Rita in recent years. I remember the house being excavated and built and the old pumphouse/greenhouse relic on part of the property prior. So many memories free-roaming the neighborhood, bounded by the lakeshore and Fruitport Road and the multiple child families, all children two years or less apart. Summers of fishing, frogging, swimming, sailing, golf and country club parties on Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. Our thoughts our with you in these difficult times and may the fond memories soften the pain.
