I knew Rita from the MOMS group at St. Pat's. I was verifying her address to send her a holiday letter when I saw she had passed. (My condolences to her family.) She was a constant source of support and encouragement as I learned how to be a mother! I will miss her dearly.
My Sincere condolences to the Milas family. Rita was a first cousin I had not seen since our grandmothers funeral Emma Andreas in 1964. We spoke many times by phone and e mail after being reunited by Pat Andreas in 2013. Did not receive Xmas card in 2024 which prompted my search. My heart goes out to all of you Milas kids! I was so sad to learn about your Mom’s death. Rita was an exceptional lady and I treasured her being part of my life. She was a dear neighbor, a wonderful constant friend and Tom and my personal counselor. I will miss her! I loved your entire family❤️
My condolences to the whole family! I worked for them many years, went to school with Mary and Becky. I grew very fond of both Rita and Jim. My heart goes out to all of you kids!
Jim and Rita were dear friends of the Sayles family, especially my parents . They enjoyed the Northern Michigan life spending time together at each other’s lake homes. Rita and my mother joined “Curves” together, were involved in St. Mary’s annual fair , and their wonderful sewing group, just to mention a few. My mother considered Rita one of her very true best friends, and she will be remembered as a beautiful shining light to all who knew her.
We were next door neighbors to the Milas family on River Street in SL for many years. Jim & Rita were wonderful, kind and fun loving people. Our condolences for your loss. Bill, John & Sarah Scholtz.
I too am deeply saddened by the news of Rita's passing. We served on the Board at Evergreen Village for many years and I also remember the friendship she had with my parents and the many good times enjoyed with the St. Mary's church choir. She was such a good example of the wisdom learned through the sharing of our experiences, strengths and hopes. My condolences to her family.
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of "My Friend, Rita", my Aunt Pat's best friend. Whenever my aunt would talk about Rita, she would always start with "My Friend, Rita" and smile. Rita was a very dear person to Pat, and her loss is deeply felt. I am so sorry that I never had the opportunity to meet her. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time.
