Bob was in a poetry-writing group I belonged to a few years ago. He was a wonderful writer. And he was so supportive of the rest of us, always bringing helpful comments. Clearly, Bob had a wonderfully full life and he was so kind to others. I feel sad that I learned so much about him so late. I will miss him.
Jenny- I was sorry to hear about Bob's death, even though it wasn't unexpected. He was a great guy... and artist. We didn't have a long friendship, but I really valued the time I did know him. Our talks were always interesting, and he was always kind, interested, and a good listener. He will be missed.

Bob was kind enough to speak to come to the Voyager School in Grand Haven and share his experience as a children's author. That was a wonderful, heartfelt presentation that was enjoyed by everyone! I always enjoyed seeing the twinkle in his eye and his warm smile. His books are a wonderful legacy. I feel lucky to have had Bob and Jenny as part of our community. He will be missed.
