Robert D. Pickard Sr.'s Obituary
Robert D. Pickard Sr., age 85, passed away March 2, 2016 at home. He was born on March 20, 1930 to DeWayne and Evelyn (Conliffe) Pickard in Muskegon. Mr. Pickard served his county in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement in 1986, he worked as a teacher for Reeths-Puffer Schools for over 20 years. Bob built six homes in the Muskegon area and enjoyed fishing and golfing. On November 8, 1952 he married the former Norma Jean Frentner in Ypsilanti, MI and she survives him along with 2 children, Robert Pickard Jr., and Randall (Dixie) Pickard; son-in-law, Edward Pickard; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughters, Relen Pickard and Rachen Pickard; brother, Jack Pickard and sister, LaVonne Fisher. A private burial will take place at Mona View Cemetery.
