Robert K. "Bob" Snodgrass' Obituary
Robert K. (Bob) Snodgrass, 83 (Spring Lake, MI) entered God’s greater kingdom on February 19, 2008 as an associate member of Spring Lake Presbyterian Church and member of Kirkwood (IL) Presbyterian Church. Bob was born on July 18, 1924 in Burlington, IA to Miles and Irene (Schick) Snodgrass.
He attended Monmouth/Kirkwood (IL) schools and he graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1943. Bob proudly served his country in the Navy aboard the minesweeper, USS Curlew, as a Motor Machinist. He married the love of his life, Catherine Holford on April 25, 1948 in Kirkwood, IL. They have three sons. Bob, a Master Mason, never met a stranger. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and especially his many friends at Young’s Lake.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Bob is loved and survived by his wife of 60 years, Catherine; three sons: R. Michael Snodgrass (Linda Shores) of Spring Lake, MI, Richard D. Snodgrass, Sr. (Karen) of Brandon, FL, Ronald P. Snodgrass (Lynne Christiano) of St. Joseph, MI; and his grandchildren: Richard D. Snodgrass, Jr. (Mary), Amber Snodgrass, Jesse Michmerhuizen (Melissa), Katie Snodgrass, Ashley Christiano, Nicole Christiano; and his great-grandson, Richard D. Snodgrass, III.
