Dear Ginny, Mary Kay, Michelle and families....my sincere sympathy to all of you in the passing of Bob. Let me introduce myself. I am Bob's cousin from the Sytek side of the family. My parents were Richard and Agnes Sytek, Virge and my dad were siblings. I live in Grand Rapids and as I was scanning over last week's newspapers, I found the obituary of Bob. And, was I ever sad to learn about his death. The last time I saw him was at my brother's visitation almost three years ago in Manistee. I had not seen Bob in many, many years and he was just as I remembered him.....good looking, smiling and friendly. My father, Richard, passed away when I was four years old. Uncle Bob and Aunt Virge would visit my mother periodically and so would Bob and Rich. My mother always spoke very highly of the boys and so my memories of Bob are of that. It sounds like you have a heart full of wonderful memories of your husband, father and grandfather. He will always live on in your hearts and mind. I hope his passing was peaceful. If you every find a moment to repsond to this e-mail, I would love hearing from you. By the way, my sister, Joan, who is in Florida at the present, sends her sympathy, as well. I am would like to tell you how much I enjoyed Bob, I know you don,t know me very well, perhaps bob may have mintioned my name. Ginny, my wife and I met you this sommer, when I brought Bob the keys I made him. We had a few jokes about them. The first time I met Bob he worked for Edlen Machine,I need Milling machine,but had no money . He looked at me and asked if I had a truck ,I said no but I could borrow one ,The next day I returned and was loaded with a hand shake. No money down. That was Bob ,And for last 35 plus years he has been one of my most trusted and realiable friends
always the one you could count on. He helped me out so maney times when I was starting my machine shop Kotzian Tool Inc, I have often thought how much he helped make my dreams come true, I am so thankfull for such a good friend.
