Rodger E. Boukamp's Obituary
Mr. Rodger E. Boukamp, age 84, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in Gainesville, FL. He was born January 9, 1935 in Muskegon to Frank and Jeannette (VanderWier) Boukamp. On December 12, 1974 he married Dorothy Hubbard and she preceded him in death on November 12, 2012.
Rodger was a member of Spring Lake Christian Reformed Church and retired from Automatic Spring. In the last few years Rodger has used his smile and kind heart to welcome residents, family and friends at Heartwood Lodge.
He is survived by three children: Vicki (Bob) Warber, Gary (Diane) Boukamp, and Mark Boukamp; step-son, Dale Hultsclaw; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Frank Boukamp. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Joan (Gordon) Secrest, and Deloris (Howard) Connell, one brother, Bill (Annajean) Boukamp.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave.) with Rev. Michael Westerveld officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Robinson Township Cemetery.
