Rod was a very special person. I worked with him for a very long time, as Austin Westran was a long time supplier to Trailmobile PDC.

My deepest sympathy to all of Rod's family and friends. I worked with Rod at Austin Westran. I live in SE Georgia and was the Regional Salesman for AW throughout the south. Rod was my main contact at the office. He was always able to "pull a rabbit out of his hat" to help me out. Rod & I traveled together making sales calls and worked truck shows together. He knew his job and was a "wealth" of information on every nut & bolt of a landing gear. We had a great time working together. Those are memories that are not soon forgotten. Our customers loved him. He was one of KYSOR WESTRAN / AUSTIN WESTRAN"S biggest assists. He will be missed by all.

Dear Sue and family: I'm so sorry to hear of Rod's passing. I'll always remember him as that rarest of creatures...the NICE older brother! He had a great sense of humor and was always a lot of fun to talk to and spend some time with. In the days, weeks and years to come, talk about him often and remember to laugh about the lifetime of experiences you had together and the memories you have. I just wanted to share a memory of Rod. I work at Shoe Carnival and Rod and spoke a lot about his lay off and he thought it would be a good idea to come and work with me part time. Then we both laughed and he remembered how much retail sucks!!!! My deepest sympathy to your family at this difficult time. I have known Rod for over 20 years, he worked with my mother Kathy Musso at Kysor for years and I have also been his hairdresser. I always looked forward to Rod's appointments because he always found humor in everything. There were times I could barely get through the haircut because we were laughing so hard. I know my mother and all their Kysor friends shared many fun times and memories together. He was a caring friend when she was battling cancer herself. I met Rod when he was bearly out of High School and came to work at Mills Mfg. where I worked. He was such a great guy, we had so much fun just "goofing" around, (we worked too!) I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family, Rod was certainly to young to have passed away. I am not sure you remember me, but Rod, Nancy Siemen and I spent many great times together at Muskegon Community College then Rod and I were roomates at Central Michigan University. I still remember all the great times we had together and how much he always talked about his family. I am sorry for your loss.
