When I began working at MCC 27 years ago, I met this gentle man. He shared his love of books and always took time to share that he wished me and my family blessings. As my husband finished his theology schooling and became a minister, Roy visited our church and always shared that he was praying for our ministry. He so enjoyed being in the academic surroundings, and many students thought he was a professor - perhaps it was his dapper way of dressing or his briefcase full of books. He attended classes come rain or shine, in heat or cold. He was an intricate piece of the fabric that makes up our institution! Roy, I think of you often and always smile when you come to mind. Thank you for your friendship, loyalty, and devotion. You are smiling down on us and are finally home with your loved ones.
