Mr. Roy Napoleon McDonald's Obituary
Roy Napoleon McDonald, age 91, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Roy recently received his Honorary Associates Degree through Muskegon Community College. He was known as a sweet, humble and gentle man by many. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Roy traveled all of Muskegon for many years often on foot and on the MATS busses. He frequented Muskegon Community College, the Malls, McDonald’s and Meijers. Roy was a life-long learner attending MCC for 56 semesters since his retirement from Continental Motors. Wherever Roy went he touched lives with his soft spoken wisdom and his sincere love and appreciation for others. Roy will be greatly missed. Roy is survived by his brother, Robert Buford; and nieces, Rolanda and Vicki Buford; several cousins; and by many special loving friends. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Christian Care, whom took excellent care of Roy in his final months and to his esteemed teachers at MCC who always provided Roy with a place of dignity in their classrooms. A Memorial Mass will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with visitation beginning an hour prior to the service. Memorial Contributions can be made in honor of Roy McDonald to Our Lady of Grace “One at a Time” Ministry (the man who started it all).
