Roy C. Osborn's Obituary
Roy C. Osborn, 87, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 while visiting in Dayton, OH. Born in Baltimore, MD May 4, 1925, he had lived in Muskegon the last 18 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during World War II, and later retired as a Chaplain. He married the former Ruth Wetmore in Dayton, and she survives him. Roy was a member of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, was affiliated locally with Temple United Methodist Church, and had served churches in Florida and Ohio. His SURVIVORS include his wife, Ruth; daughters Ruth Beardsley of Columbus, OH and Phyllis (David) Evans of Fort Worth, TX; a son Matthew Osborn of Columbus, OH; a step-son Thomas Wetmore of Muskegon; five grandchildren: Anne-Marie Robles, Ann Evans, Robley (Brad) Sicard, and John and Beth Osborn; two brothers: Owen (Joann) Osborn and Jim (Marilyn) Osborn; and a sister MaryJean (Walter) May. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Margaret Kelley. The MEMORIAL SERVICE for Roy Osborn will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 7, 2012 at Temple United Methodist Church, 2500 Jefferson St., with Rev. Jeff Bowman officiating. VISITATION will be 6-8 P.M.
