Aunt Ruth always represented the gold standard of domestic self sufficency to me. When my mom called me today and told me about your mom's passing away, I had a sudden memory of Ruth's smiling face in the kitchen of your home in GH. I have great memories of the times we spent at your house and the great "words of wisdom" your mom would share with us as she was preparing something wonderful for us to eat.
