We just learned late this evening about Ruth's passing. Otherwise we would have been at her visitation or memorial service. Although we hadn't seen Ruth very often over recent years, our friendship went back many years and we have many fond memories of her, Bob, and the Leafers family. She was a dear friend with an everlasting smile.
Sending our sincere sympathy.

Lori, Vince and Randy,
We are so sorry for your loss of your mother. I have fond memories of her and all of the Leafer family growing up. Ruth was always kind and very positive on nature. Thinking of you at this time.

I only knew Ruth about 4-5 yrs. but she was one very special person to me. We have to
be out of the area Sat. and I feel very bad that I can't come to her funeral. We will really
miss her, and will be thinking of the family and praying for you this week-end. She was
always smiling and upbeat, and it was such a joy to know her.

It seems like yesterday that I spoke to Ruth at my daugher's graduation open house on June 5th, 2015. Ruth had a way of entering a room with that award winning smile as though she was smiling for herself and anyone else that had no reason to smile. My good friend Jay Larman introduced us sometime ago and I immediately knew that this was a person who had touched the face of God. If there is a flag in heaven it is flying at half staff because another soldier in the army of the Lord has fallen only to rise again one day. I will miss that camara flash smile and her kind gentle ways; only to be reminded that love isn't love until you give it away.
May God give the entire family and friends of the family a peace that surpass all understanding "God Bless"

My husband and I were so fortunate to have such a wonderful neighbor. Ruth was always pleasant, thoughtful, and energetic. What an inspiration. I will miss sharing the joy she got from keeping our little flower garden watered.
