We had the best time as a Family!!!! 4th of July, Summer fish fry's and Thanksgiving! Christmas musicals! Growing up as your niece was a gift! Aunt Sally always had a kind word and hug waiting for me! I love and will miss you always! I know God's heart is bigger now that your with him.

What a special Mom/Grandmother you were blessed with. I shall always remember your Moms smile along with her sweet spirit. Sally always had time to listen and care for her friends as well as her students.

Sally is and always will be a hero in our family. She tutored one of our sons in reading MANY years ago at Churchill. She was the one who finally was able to make whatever needed to "click" in his little brain and make it all come together. He went on to college and also studied in India and New Zealand. During the Harvest Festival I always made sure she got all of the Sweet Dumpling squash she wanted- ha ha!! :) Words simply cannot describe Sally. We feel fortunate to be some of the many, many lives she has touched!

What a great person Sally was, we could all stand to be a more like her. She tutored 2 of my sons and taught them both the value of reading! I was blessed to have known her. I am sure she is reading to all the little ones in Heaven, we love you Sally and look forward to meeting again.

I was truly sorry to hear of Sally's passing - I remember many hours spent together helping the Mona Shores Choir. She was truly a good woman with a good heart. My sympathy to the entire Gillard family.

I was so surprised to hear the news. It's hard to believe that someone so wonderful has left us. Mrs. Gillard tutored my son and I truly believe made him realize that reading was a great joy to have. We only live a block away and would walk to her house when my son had lessons. It was so nice to chat with her. I know she is in a better place but she will be greatly missed here by many.
Kind, sweet, helpful, and always caring...that was Sally. I will miss her smile and all of the kindness she shared with all of us everyday at Churchill. She was a wonderful woman.

Sally Gillard was a powerful educator, a godly woman and a real friend. I remember the time I was recovering at home. She walked in and told me, "I don't have any explanations for what happened to you, but I'm here to sit with you. You don't have to talk if you don't want to. I'm just here to grieve with you." That was Sally; she was with us when we needed her. Sally is going to be missed by our whole community. Thousands of children have been changed by her caring ways. She was such a positive and effective co-worker; I loved it when she was assigned to my classroom. And in the times when she was assigned somewhere else, I enjoyed watching the magic she worked in the lives of everyone. I will miss you, Sally, my friend.
