We all lost such an amazing awesome important friend and person August 19th! I am JUST learning about his passing and I am so sad but grateful for the opportunity to have known him. I’ve known Sam, who I call Sammy or Sammy Boy, for AT LEAST 17 years! I met him at Ozzie’s party store and then I soon realized that he and his wife had a daughter who attended school school with my son! Every time I saw Sam or his wife they were ALWAYS happy and saying hello to all of us with a smile. Even though I now live across town from East Broadway, I still would stop in from time to time just to say hi to Sam and his wife. I MADE SURE to stop in after his assault just to let him know that he and his family were in my thoughts and prayers. He was so happy to see me and I told him how happy I was that he was still with us. This is what he said to me, and I’ll never forget it, “ Kada (Kara), thee ONLY REASON I am alive is because of everybody’s prayers and everybody’s love. I would be here if it wasn’t for that.” My oldest son was with me that day and he told Sam that he was a “Boss”. Now, he is gone home and he and his family are STILL in my thoughts and prayers. Hey, there Sammy! You’ve made such a positive impact on your community and everyone that knew you. You will be FOREVER LOVED, FOREVER MISSED, & FOREVER AND EVER IN OUR HEARTS… we all miss you! However, it’s never “Goodbye”… It’s “I’ll see you later”! Hugs, kisses, and prayers to all of your family…
Love Always,
Rob and Kara Sagala
