Sam Lakos was truly a "class act"! I had the honor of working for him at Lakos for the last six years they were open. I'll always remember him going to some of the "younger" patrons and telling them, in a very polite and diplomatic way, to remove their baseball caps while dining in the restaurant. He made sure the atmosphere, of the highest class restaurant in Muskegon, stayed that way!I also remember having a man at the bar using vulgar language one afternoon and Tom Lakos having to ask him to leave. He looked up at Tom and said,who are you? Clark Kent? Tom said yes and you have to leave know! My thoughts are with you, Tom, George,and all the rest of Sam's family. You have my deepest sympathy. What great memories I have of Sam and your family on the old block of Lawnel!! I remember the times I would stop and talk to him on the golf course also. I never missed the chance as he always made me feel good after we parted company. I am so sorry I can't see all of you but I am leaving for Phoenix shortly.
