Sandra L. Krupp's Obituary
Mrs. Sandra Louise (Harjes, Purdy) Krupp, age 73, died Tuesday afternoon, February 23, 2016, after a lengthy illness, at the Poppen Residence, Fruitport, MI. She was born April 9, 1942 in Muskegon to Howard and Opal (Lount) Jessup. After many years in Oceana County and a few years in Casper, Wyoming, she has lived in Whitehall for the past 28 years. Sandy retired as office manager for Blue Lake Public Radio, WBLV. She was an active member of Montague United Methodist Church and had been a lay-speaker of the United Methodist Church. Sandy was a member of two quilt guilds, PALS and Friendship Ring Quilt Guild. She also enjoyed playing cards, board games, volleyball and bowling; and enjoyed photography, different craft mediums; and her former time with Toastmasters. SURVIVORS include her husband of 28 years, Daniel Krupp; 5 children, Cindy (Bill) Sherwood, Jeffrey (Debra) Harjes, Sr., Shirley Courtney, Stacy (Daniel) Parsons and Brenda Falk; 4 step-children, Susan (Sam) Brufladt, Jackie Waters, Karen (Bill) Stellema and Steve Krupp; 31 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Judy (Bob) Hiemstra, Nancy (Rod) Puseman, Christine (John) Stacey; an Aunt and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard Purdy and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Krupp. A CELEBRATION OF SANDY’S LIFE will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Montague UMC, 8555 Cook St., Montague, MI 49437. VISITATION with Sandy’s family will be 10–11:00AM, prior to the service. Those desiring to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Montague UMC.
