Dear Family,
I found the time of the funeral on this website and see that, unfortunately, I cannot make it in time from Lansing... Please know that you are in my thoughts and in my heart. -And now I share this with you.
Sandie was my mentor, and, my friend.
There are some people in life whom we share such beautiful moments with that we dare not speak of those moments, for fear that words would only depleat their value. Sandie shared many of those moments with many of us. This idea is not surprising to me since it was in her nature to do so. Sandie found life in every breath. She taught us to find life, and beauty, in every breath... and for some, in every note. As I grew to know her better, I begain to realize that beauty and life were manifested in Sandie's music -only because they were first alive within her.
There are so many other ways that Sandie shaped my life; some I will keep to myself, many I will try to put into words and send to you.
-So I end with this.
Thank you for loving your wife and your mother so very much; I can't believe that she would have been so innerly joyful and alive without that.
With Love & Respect,
Jennie D. Gavin (mn: Alexander)##imported-begin##Jennie D. Gavin (mn: Alexander)##imported-end##
