Mr. Scott M. Chandonnet's Obituary
Scott Chandonnet, age 55, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 2, 1960 to Roger and Gloria (Howell) Chandonnet in Kalamazoo, MI. Scott was an avid sports fan, enjoyed woodworking, golfing, traveling, being outdoors and spending time on Lake Michigan. During his 31 years in the North Muskegon and Reeths Puffer school systems, Scott spent time as a school psychologist and a teacher. While in the schools, he also took pride coaching golf for the North Muskegon and Reeths Puffer school systems. During his time as “Coach”, Scott led teams to three state titles, two runners up titles and was voted the 2000-01 Michigan High School Coaches Association Boys Golf Coach of the Year. Above all else, Scott was a devoted husband, loving father, caring brother, and a friend and mentor to many. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Nicolee Chandonnet; children, Kailee (Andrew) Carlson, Morgen (Greg) Chandonnet-Sischo, Drew Chandonnet; brothers, Jay (Deborah) Chandonnet, Paul Chandonnet; step-mother, Nancy Chandonnet and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, John and Maxine Streblow. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Scott will be held at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100) on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM. VISITATION with the family will take place two hours prior to the services from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
