I am so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. I still have every letter he wrote me after we both got in trouble with our parents for running up the phone bills (we were dating in high school and I lived in GR). I've been struggling to find the words & continue to do so. Scott has been one of my best friends for almost as long as I can remember. I have so many great memories from the play ground in grade school, to living together away at college & on Mackinac Island, to just hanging out when I'd come back to MI to visit every year. Seeing him when I'd return was always something I looked forward to & visiting MI I don't think will every be the same w/o him. Words will never express how much you will be missed my friend!
I am so incredibly sad to hear that Scott is gone. I grew up with him and so many of my fondest memories from elementary school to beyond high school include him. I loved his sense of humor and his kind heart. I have often thought of him and wondered how he was doing and where life had taken him. In elementary school, we played marbles on the playground and both loved the cartoon 'Voltron.' We remained friends throughout junior high and high school and enjoyed the same bands, tv shows, and movies. I was lucky enough to have English 101 with him at Muskegon Community College and we sat by each other and shared jokes. I left Muskegon shortly thereafter, but never forgot him. He was brilliant, funny, and was special to me. Prayers for peace and comfort for his family and friends.
