Shannon was always a welcome part of the family circle at the kitchen table on Grandview St., Spring Lake at the Corgan's. She always had something nice to say to everyone, and I remember her warm, loving laughter. Shannon was a great friend to my oldest sister, Mary, and to my parents, Jim and Fran Corgan, who loved her dearly. Condolences to her family and friends. She will remain in our hearts forever. I have many memories of Shannon visiting at our house when I was still a teenager. The whole family always enjoyed her visits. She sometimes visited even if Mary wasn't home. Her smile lit up the room. I will always remember her fondly. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep Shannon and her family in my prayers.
I knew Shannon way back when she was director of Michigan Young World and I was in Child Day Care Services. I also knew her at DSS/FIA/DHS. RIP, my repartee partner.

Shannon has been my forever friend since graduating High School. Every significant event in our lives we have shared. Shannon has been the only person in my life who could give me a swift kick when it was needed, and get away with it! I have loved her like a sister for more that 40 years. I will love her forever.
Shannon saved me from drowning decades ago. She instinctively knew I was in trouble and didn't hesitate to act. She was a beautiful and courageous woman who will be missed beyond measure.
