Sharon Lee DeWitt's Obituary
Sharon Lee DeWitt, age 78, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025, at The Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence. She was born November 24, 1946, in Muskegon, MI to Edward and Catherine (Chulufas) Reddick. Sharon married James “Jim” DeWitt on September 14, 1979, at Lakeside Inn, in Whitehall, MI.
Sharon graduated from Montague High School and went on to Western Michigan University obtaining her bachelor’s degree. She worked as a Lab Technician for Butterworth Hospital and later at Holland Hospital. Sharon was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for friends and family. Sharon golfed in the women’s league, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Sharon is lovingly remembered by her husband, James “Jim” DeWitt; two brothers, Edward (Idelsa) Reddick and Richard Reddick; niece, Michelle Reddick; four nephews: David Reddick, John Reddick, Colin MCKinney and Ross McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Bill Reddick.
A private family service will be held in the summer. Memorials in her name may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or The American Cancer Society.
