Sharon Redd-Kelley's Obituary
Mrs. Sharon Redd Kelley, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. She was born in Chicago, IL on September 11, 1950 to Murphy Redd and Lucille Barnes. Sharon later moved to Muskegon MI and was a life-long resident of the area. She attended Muskegon High School and graduated in 1971. She married the love of her life, William Kelley on April 4, 1996 in Muskegon, MI. Sharon was employed for many years as Administrative Assistant for Muskegon Public Schools until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed sewing, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, and her collections of movies, she was also very fashion oriented. She accepted Christ at an early age. Sharon is survived by her husband, William Kelley; her beloved mother, Lucille Redd; one son, Kern (Lauren) Redd of Detroit MI; stepchild, Tarvis Kelley; two grandchildren, Jorden Redd and Kyan Redd of Detroit MI; three brothers, Keith Redd Sr, Anthony (Debra) Redd, and Kevin Redd; sister-in-law, Virgia Carter of Grand Rapids, MI; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the Big Red family. She was preceded in death by her father Murphy Redd. A PUBLIC VISITATION for will be held 1 hour prior to service. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the church is allowed 25 guests in the building at a time. As people pay their respects to the family and exit the building, more guests will be allowed in. Masks will be required. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 6, 2020 at Fresh Anointing COGIC,1121 Jefferson St, Muskegon, MI 49440 with Elder Willie Williams Jr., officiating.
