Shirley Dornbos' Obituary
Shirley I. Dornbos, age 75, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 21, in Grand Rapids. She was born December 28, 1932 to Harold and Margaret (Kelderhouse) Sauders in Muskegon Heights, and lived all of her life in the W. Michigan area. Shirley worked for Dura Automotive for many years before retiring, and was member of Spring Lake Wesleyan Church. She was active in the community as a volunteer, enjoyed quilting and traveling, and walking the boardwalk in Grand Haven. In addition to her family, Shirley truly valued the many friends and friendships that she had. She is survived by her 3 children, Dave Dornbos of New Orleans, LA, Doug (Dawn) Dornbos of Traverse City, Linda (John) Fischer of Grand Haven; 2 grandsons, Joshua (Andrea) Dornbos of Jersey City, NJ, Sgt. Jonah (Elizabeth) Dornbos of Oceanside, CA; 2 great-granddaughters, Aylah and Isabella Dornbos; 2 sisters, Margaret Hulka of Muskegon, Phyllis (Bob) DeBard of Fruitport. Shirley will be laid to rest at Lake Forest Cemetery in Grand Haven at 10:00 am Friday morning, followed by a celebration of her life at 1:00 PM Friday at Spring Lake Wesleyan Church, 15550 Cleveland Ave. with Rev. David Horne officiating. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at
