Mrs. Shirley Ann King, age 68, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 20, 2014, at her home. Shirley was born May 21, 1945 in Muskegon to Albert and Edith (Hoffman) Goodman. On July 15, 1961, she married Norman “Bruce” King in D Read Obituary
I wanted to share a memory as I just stumbled upon Ms. King's obituary. She was our bus driver for many years, driving one of the 'tougher' routes with some kids that tested the waters every day. She stood firm every day and got us to and from school safely. Thoughts, prayers and hugs to her family.

I am so glad I went to visit with Aunt Shirley. We had some good conversation over coffee and she taught me (sorta) how to play Hand & Foot. Phyllis, Kevin, Karen and your families, and anyone else who the King Gang called family, never ever doubt her love, she loved us all! I know one thing that Aunt Shirley and Uncle Bruce did and did it well, unconditional love, not just for each other, their children and grand children but anyone who was a part of their family. I pray that god comforts all those who hearts ache for the loss we all share, but I rejoice that her suffering has come to an end. God Bless you all.
