Mrs. Shirley DeBoer, age 78, died Monday, July 30, 2007 at her home, after battling Myelodysplastic Sydrome. She was born April 25, 1929 in Muskegon and had resided in the area most of her life. On December 29, 1949 she married J. Read Obituary
So sorry to learn about Shirley's passing. Hadn't seen Shirley since "way back when" high school years. We did share the very same birthday and Class of "47 "status: Shirley was voted class "Best Looking"....I just happened to be the class treasurer....however, we had several dates (before Bob) and I'll cherish memories of a very sweet, beautiful and fun person.

My grandmother was a very close friend of shirleys. I didnt know her very much but what my grandma has told me and the little of what i had seen at church then god has recieved someone very special. I will be praying for your family and that finally although unfornitally Shirley is finally at peace.

Paula and Mike, I was so saddened to learn about your mom's passing. Shirley was an absolute sweetheart, and always had a bright smile. I have fond memories of our being at your home when we were very young, touring the barn with the horses, and just enjoying the country. I also have fond memories of visiting Simpson's Pharmacy, looking around in the gift shop, and enjoying the company of your grandma (and my great Aunt), Angie.
