I am the daughter of Anna Matuz, Steffie's cousin, and the niece of Joe, Mildred, and Sophie Matuz. I remember visiting Steffie with my two aunts years ago when I was only about 12 years old. At that time Steffie had 3 daughters and they were little ones then.

I remember Steffie as a gentle and kind woman and she dearly appreciated the
visit from her cousins.

My mother, Anna, is 97 years old now. Her married name is Anna Hartsema. Joe and Mildred have passed on. Sophie is 93 so you can see the longevity in the family.

I give all of you my condolence in the passing of your mother, a kind and loving woman I
still recall fondly. May she rest in peace.

Steffie was indeed a kind and gentle lady, and a loving wife and mother. She loved her flowers, and I remember receiving bouquets of Lily of the Valley from her several times. Rest in peace, sweet Steffie.
